How will I meet the standards?
3b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation
You will meet this standard by collaborating with your colleagues in the Blog.
3d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.
You will meet this standard by exploring and ultimately recommending resources to help assist in teaching in your content area in the blog. In addition, this standard is met through the documentation of additional resources in your Diigo library.
Tasks
1. Google technology lessons for your content area
2. Survey the lessons you find . Document those you find most useful in Diigo to include in your initial response and follow up postings. Tuesday-Friday
3. Post your initial blog. Tuesday
4. Respond to the blogs of others, sharing lessons and resources you have found. Wednesday - Friday.

TPACK in Application
This week we will look at lessons that use technology to help students learn in our content area. I do have a few suggestions to help you start out your search:
Center for Technology and Teacher Education: Content Areas
PBS Learning Media
Teachers First
DocsTeach
Merlot II
Curriki
It will be easy to become overwhelmed as you go through each of these resources. I recommend going through lessons, asking yourself to what extent the lesson meets the criteria for a "good" technology integration experience for students. Is the technology use intentional and meaningful? Does it further learning of the content? Is it real world in some way?
Rather than spend hour upon hour searching and going down rabbit holes, I recommend spending an hour at a time, on just a couple of days, searching for these lessons. After you have bookmarked the lessons you think are interesting, then go back to the lessons and read over them carefully. Do you see any themes in technology use within these lessons? Make notes on interesting aspects of the lessons in Diigo so you may return to these over the week.

1.5 Points - Candidate posts to Reading Group by Tuesday at midnight, so that the group may respond and interact in a timely manner
1.5 Points - Candidate’s posts accurately reflect reading and/or video materials
2.5 Points - Candidate builds on the responses of classmates in the Reading Group discussion (adding new resources and promoting conversation)
2.5 Points - The first posting of the week is between 350 and 550 words in length.
